Siemens PLC Controls Engineer

We are looking for a Siemens PLC Controls Engineer to support the development, troubleshooting, testing, and virtual validation of industrial automation systems for manufacturing applications.

The role involves Siemens S7-1500/S7-1500F PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, machine sequence implementation, safety logic, troubleshooting, and virtual commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop modular and reusable PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal.
• Configure Siemens S7-1500/S7-1500F standard and safety PLC logic.
• Develop and troubleshoot WinCC Unified/Comfort HMI applications.
• Implement machine sequences, interlocks, alarms, diagnostics, and recovery logic.
• Configure PROFINET, PROFIsafe, OPC UA, and TCP/IP communication.
• Support software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, virtual commissioning, and vFAT.
• Perform code reviews, testing, fault-injection testing, and defect closure.
• Prepare code backups, architecture documents, interface registers, and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs.
• Strong experience with S7-1500 and TIA Portal.
• Knowledge of PLC safety programming and machine interlocks.
• Understanding of industrial communication networks.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, I/O lists, and sequence-of-operation documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
