Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated MES Engineer to join our Industrial Automation team for an onsite assignment in Gujarat. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, MES, and Industrial Automation systems. The role involves implementing, commissioning, troubleshooting and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integrated with shop-floor automation.
The engineer will collaborate with production, maintenance, automation, and IT teams to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions while ensuring maximum plant availability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Integrate MES with PLC, SCADA, ERP, and industrial databases.
- Configure and troubleshoot PLC communication and OPC-UA connectivity.
- Develop production dashboards, reports, and real-time monitoring applications.
- Perform commissioning, FAT, SAT, and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot automation, communication, and production issues.
- Configure alarms, recipes, batch management, and production tracking.
- Develop SQL queries, reports, and data extraction procedures.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams during deployments.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and user manuals.
- Support plant operations during shifts whenever required.
- Ensure adherence to industrial safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in Industrial Automation or MES.
- Good knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or Mitsubishi PLCs.
- Experience in SCADA platforms such as Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Wonderware.
- Good understanding of MES concepts including Production Tracking, Traceability, OEE, Downtime Monitoring, Quality Management, and Recipe Management.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server.
- Experience with OPC-UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and industrial networking.
- Basic understanding of ERP integration (SAP preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work 100% onsite in Gujarat.
